One Data Indonesia of Kepulauan Riau Province

Tanjungpinang – Statistics of Kepulauan Riau Province held a Coordination Meeting to increase the role and function of statistical institutions in The One Data of Indonesia (SDI) at Aston Tanjungpinang Hotel, Wednesday (11/13/2019). The event, which was attended by the Regency/City Informatics and Statistics Office of Communication in the Kepulauan Riau Province, the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of the Regency/City of Kepulauan Riau Province and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of the Regency / City of the Kepulauan Riau Province, aims to improve the role and function of statistics in the SDI so that each institution can understand and understand its position in supporting One Data Indonesia and increasing understanding of data management and statistical information. "The availability of accurate data provides a basis and direction in formulating development activities and programs," said Zulkipli, Head of BPS of Kepulauan Riau Province at the opening of the Coordination Meeting. He further conveyed various problems encountered in providing accurate data and information, namely the lack of understanding that data was important, the coordination mechanism between related institutions was unclear, inconsistent data and unclear data management. "Presidential Regulation number 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data is issued in an effort to reform the Government of data governance," he said. The policy aims to eliminate the fragmented sectoral egos and all parties must be involved in providing data, information that is accurate, current, integrated and accountable and easily accessible. The recommended follow up for this activity is to reactivate the One Data Forum at the provincial / district / city level.
