Employees of BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province Activate Digital Population Identity (IKD)

On Thursday, March 21st 2024, the Head of General Affairs for BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau province, Donny Cahyo Wibowo, welcomed a team from Kepulauan Riau Provincial Community and Village Empowerment and Population and Civil Registration Service (PMD Dukcapil) for Digital Population Identity (IKD) activation event.

This IKD Safari initiative aligns with the Director General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs' letter No. 470/17865/Dukcapil, aiming to make digital identity activation services more accessible. Muhammad Faisal Hasibuan, Deputy Team Leader for PMD Dukcapil, along with two other members, highlighted the benefits of IKD: streamlining and expediting digital public service transactions while securing population identity ownership through a secure application to prevent data forgery. Donny emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between BPS and PMD Dukcapil to support each core responsibilities and functions.
