BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province Receives Regional Development Partner Award

Head of BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province, Darwis Sitorus, representing BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province received the Regional Development Partner Award from the Kepulauan Riau Provincial Government. The awards were given at the opening of the 2024 Kepulauan Riau Province Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang) which took place at Balairung Wan Seri Beni, Dompak Island (27/3).

The Regional Development Partner Award was given for the extraordinary contribution of BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province through providing quality statistical data in supporting development of Kepulauan Riau Province. Apart from BPS, other vertical agencies that received awards were Bank Indonesia (BI) Representatives, River Region Agency (BWS), National Road Implementation Agency (BPJN), Regional Settlement Infrastructure Agency (BPPW), Housing Provision Implementation Agency (BP2P), and Balai Land Transportation Manager (BPTD).

In supporting regional development, BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province contributes to providing strategic indicators through BPS releases, both monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and also annually. These strategic indicators such as GRDP, Inflation, Human Development Index (HDI), Poverty Level, Unemployment Level and other indicators are always awaited by the Regional Government to evaluate or determine policy direction in development planning in the Kepulauan Riau Province. BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province is optimistic about continuing to provide quality statistical data for all.
