Economy of the Kepulauan Riau the third quarter of 2019 grew by 4.89 percent (y-on-y)

Kepulauan Riau economy in the third quarter of 2019 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp67.13 trillion and at constant prices (ADHK) reached Rp45.79 trillion. Kepulauan Riau economic growth in quarter III-2019 (y-on-y) grew by 4.89 percent. Growth in the quarter was driven by growth in the Manufacturing Industry category which contributed 2.73 percent growth. On the expenditure side, the Household Consumption Expenditure component contributed 2.12 percent to economic growth and Gross Fixed Capital Formation Expenditures had a share of growth of 1.28 percent.

The economy of the Kepulauan Riau quarter III-2019 compared to quarter II-2019 (q-to-q) grew by 2.26 percent. In terms of production, the category that experienced the highest growth was the Health Services and Social Activities category at 11.98 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation Component grew 0.42 percent and Household Consumption Expenses grew 0.36 percent.
