The Consumer Tendency Index of Kepulauan Riau Province in quarter III-2019 was 98.85

The Consumer Tendency Index (CTI) of the Kepulauan Riau Province in the third quarter of 2019 was 98.85. This value indicates that the economic condition of consumers in Kepulauan Riau Province experienced a decline in quarter III-2019 compared to the previous quarter, as well as the level of consumer optimism declined compared to quarter II-2019 with an index of 128.21.

The decline in consumer economic conditions was mainly driven by declining current income (index value 97.90), and consumption volume (index value 97.83).

The value of CTI in Kepulauan Riau Province in the fourth quarter of 2019 is estimated at 105.43 meaning that the economic condition of consumers is expected to increase when compared to quarter III-2019, for the estimated level of consumer optimism will also increase if compared to the previous quarter (CTI of 98.85).

The estimated improvement in consumer economic conditions in the upcoming quarter IV-2019 is due to an increase in the index of future household income with an index of 108.10 and an index of purchases of durable goods 100.76.
