Kepulauan Riau Economy in 2019 grew by 4.89 percent

Kepulauan Riau economic growth in 2019, cumulatively (c-to-c) grew by 4.89 percent, growing faster than in 2018 of 4.58 percent.

Kepulauan Riau economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) grew by 5.21 percent. Growth in the quarter was driven by growth in the Construction category, which contributed 2.57 percent growth. In terms of expenditure, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation component contributed the largest economic growth of 4.59 percent.

The economy of Kepulauan Riau quarter IV-2019 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 3.35 percent. From the production side, most categories of business sectors experienced growth. Three categories which contributed the largest growth among others: Mining and Quarrying 2.68 percent; Construction category 1.53 percent; and the category of Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security 0.17 percent. From the expenditure side, which has the largest share of economic growth is the Government Consumption of 4.01 percent.

Within the regional scope, PDRB Riau Islands quarter IV-2019 contributed 7.95 percent to Sumatra Island GRDP.
