Development of Kepulauan Riau Province Air and Sea Transportation September 2020

The number of domestic air transport passengers in September 2020 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province was 79,241 people or decreased by 13.09 percent from August 2020. Meanwhile, there were no international air transport passengers in September 2020 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province.

During September 2020 there were 147,823 people who departed (embarked) domestically from ports in Kepulauan Riau. The number of domestic passengers departing has decreased 5.17 percent compared to August 2020 which reached 155,879 people. Meanwhile, the number of international sea transport passengers departing (embarkation) in September 2020 was only 1,321 people, an increase of 22.43 percent compared to August 2020.

In September 2020, the load on baggage and goods for domestic air transport increased by 0.48 percent from 1,861.19 tons in August 2020 to 1,870.09 tons in September 2020. In September 2020, the amount of baggage and goods loaded for international air transport amounted to 20.08 tons, up 143,328.57 percent from August 2020.

In September 2020, the amount of international sea freight cargo has increased from the previous month of 58.15 percent, from 1,106,593.37 tons to 1,750,117.94 tons.
