Abstract

The main patterns of trade distribution in the Kepulauan Riau Province:

1. Rice: Outside the Province → Distributor → Retailer → End Consumer.

2. Red Chili: Outside the Province → Distributor → Retailer → End Consumer.

• The total trade and transportation margin (MPP) of rice in Kepulauan Riau Province in 2019 was 29.03 percent; red chilies by 71.41 percent; red onion amounted to 26.81

percent; and purebred chicken meat by 49.59 percent.

• The total MPP for the main pattern of rice trade distribution in Kepulauan Riau Province in 2019 nationally ranks the 4th highest after DKI Jakarta, Jawa Timur, dan Maluku.

• Total MPP for the main pattern of shallot trade distribution in Kepulauan Riau Province in 2019 nationally ranks the 5th lowest after Jambi, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Jawa Tengah, dan Bali
