Abstract

The rice harvested area in 2020 was 298.52 hectares, decreased by 57.75 hectares or 16.21 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 356.27 hectares.

Rice production in 2020 amounted to 852.54 tons of milled dry unhulled rice (GKG), a decrease of 298.26 tons or 25.92 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 1,150.80 tons of GKG.

When viewed from the subround, there is a decrease in rice production in all subrounds, namely the January-April, May-August and September-December subrounds.

2020, namely 124.58 tons of GKG (25.49 percent), 59.69 tons of GKG (18.02 percent), and 113.99 tons of GKG (34.47 percent) respectively compared to 2019.

If converted into rice for the population's food consumption, rice production in 2020 will amount to 485.31 tons, a decrease of 169.84 tons or 25.92 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 655.15 tons.

The potential for rice production in the January-April 2021 subround is estimated at 451.35 tons of GKG, an increase of 87.11 tons or 23.92 percent compared to the same subround in 2020 which amounted to 364.24 tons of GKG.
