Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

In December 2023, the Riau Islands Province NTP was recorded at 104.16 or an increase of 0.64 percent compared to the NTP in November 2023.

The NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 97.32; the NTP of the Horticulture subsector was 117.08; the NTP of the People's Plantation Crops subsector was 97.00; the NTP of the Livestock subsector was 98.53; and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector was 103.73.

The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Riau Islands Province in December 2023 was recorded at 102.68 or an increase of 0.80 percent compared to November 2023.

NTUP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 94.19; NTUP of Horticulture subsector at 114.99; NTUP of Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 93.67; NTUP of Livestock subsector at 99.58; and NTUP of Fisheries subsector at 104.02.
