Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
In March 2024, the Riau Islands Province NTP was recorded at 105.44 or an increase of 1.20 percent compared to the NTP in February 2024.
The NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 97.72; the NTP of the Horticulture subsector was 114.09; the NTP of the Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector was 100.97; the NTP of the Livestock subsector was 100.53; and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector was 105.78.
The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Riau Islands Province in March 2024 was recorded at 105.18 or an increase of 1.62 percent compared to February 2024.
NTUP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 95.52; NTUP of Horticulture subsector at 113.63; NTUP of Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 98.87; NTUP of Livestock subsector at 103.19; and NTUP of Fisheries subsector at 106.92.
