Abstract

One of important economic indicators, The consumer price index (CPI), provides information of the rise and fall of the prices of goods/services paid by the consumer. The counting of the CPI is intended to find out the price change from a bunch of goods/services generally consumed in the community. CPI changes from time to time illustrate the level of increase (inflation) or a reduced rate (deflation) of goods/services daily household needs. The rate of change of CPI inflation/deflation) going on, in and of itself reflect the purchasing power of the money was used to meet daily needs of the community.
