Data and Information of Poverty of Kepulauan Riau Province 2023

The problem of poverty is one of the fundamental issues at the center of the government's attention. One important aspect to support the Poverty Reduction Strategy is the availability of accurate and informative poverty data. With the availability of poverty data and information, it is expected to detect factors related to the poverty problem itself.This publication explains the poverty rate calculation methodology used by BPS and the analysis of poor people/households. The analysis includes the development of the poverty rate in Kepulauan Riau Province, the poverty depth and severity index, expenditure distribution and inequality, and the profile of poor households. The data on the profile of poor households presented in this publication is the result of the data collection process.
