Results of the 2020 Population Census, Population of Kepulauan Riau Province 2.064 Million people

BPS-Statistics and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) conducted the Joint Release of the 2020 Population Census and Population Administration Data for the first time. This is because SP2020 is the first Population Census to utilize population administration data (Adminduk) from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs as its basic data. One Indonesian Data begins with One Population Data.

Joint Release of SP2020 data at the provincial level virtually, live from the Gedung Daerah of Kepulauan Riau Province. At this historic moment, the Regional Secretary of Kepulauan Riau Province, H. TS Arif Fadillah, gave a wellcome speech that was listened to carefully by the participants who attended virtually, namely from the Regency / Municipalicity Population Service, BPS-Statistics in Kepulauan Riau Province , Barenlitbang in the Kepulauan Riau Province. Then proceed with the presentation of the result of 2020 Population Census Data by the Head of BPS-Statistics of Kepulauan Riau Province, Agus Sudibyo.

Based on the SP 2020, the population of Kepulauan Riau Province in September 2020 was 2.064 million, with a composition of 51.02% of the population being male and 48.98% being female.
