Dissemination of the 2023 Annual Regional Fiscal Study

Today, Tuesday, March 26 2024, the Head of BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province, Darwis Sitorus was one of the resource persons in the 2023 Annual Regional Fiscal Study Dissemination activity organized by the DJPb Regional Office of Kepulauan Riau Province. The activity with the theme "Central-Regional Synergy in Reducing Unemployment and Increasing Competitive Labor Productivity" discussed fiscal conditions, controlling inflation and macroeconomic indicators in the Kepulauan Riau Province.

On this occasion, the Head of BPS-Statistics Kepulauan Riau Province delivered material related to Macroeconomic Indicators in the Kepulauan Riau Province including economic growth, GRDP, contribution to inflation, export-import, and other related matters. In his presentation, he said that the Economic Growth of the Kepulauan Riau Province in 2023 grew by 5,20 percent (C to C), which is the highest Economic Growth on the Island of Sumatra in 2023.

The regional economic structure of Sumatra Island itself in 2023 will be dominated by Sumatra Utara Province at 23,25 percent, while the Kepulauan Riau are in fifth place with a share of 7,34 percent. On the other hand, the economy of the Kepulauan Riau Province is dominated by Batam City with a share of 65,54 percent.
