Abstract

In March 2019, the CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed a deflation 0.05 percent. Deflation occurs because of the decline in the Consumer Price Index from 137.00 in February 2019 to 136.93 in March 2019. Inflation in calendar year (January to March 2019) is 0.31 percent. Year-on-year inflation (March 2019 to March 2018) is 2.71 percent. From the 2 CPI cities in Kepulauan Riau Province, Tanjungpinang City and Batam City recorded deflation of 0.28 percent and 0.01 percent respectively.
