Abstract

In June 2019, the CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed inflation of 0.24 percent. Inflation occurs because of the increase in the Consumer Price Index from 138.56 in May 2019 to 138.91 in June 2019. Inflation in the calendar year (January to June 2019) is 1.76 percent. Year-on-year inflation (June 2019 to June 2018) is 3.16 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in Kepulauan Riau Province, it was recorded that the cities of Batam and Tanjungpinang experienced inflation of 0.24 percent and 0.32 percent respectively.
