Abstract

In June 2021, the Kepulauan Riau Province CPI (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed a deflation of 0.13 percent. Deflation occurred due to a decrease in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 105.02 to 104.88 in June 2021. Inflation for the calendar year (January to June 2021) was 0.19 percent. Year-on-year inflation (June 2021 versus June 2020) was 1.52 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in the Kepulauan Riau Province, it was recorded that Batam City experienced a deflation of 0.15 percent, and Tanjungpinang City experienced a deflation of 0.02 percent.
