Abstract

In July 2019, the CPI of the Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang city) showed inflation of 0.60 percent. Inflation occurred due to the increase of the consumer price index from 138.91 in June 2019 to 139.75 in July 2019. The Inflation calendar year (January through July 2019) amounted to 2.37 percent. Year-on-year inflation (July 2019 against July 2018) amounted to 3.50 percent. Of the two cities of CPI in the Kepulauan Riau Province, the city of Batam and the city of Tanjungpinang have inflation of 0.61 percent and 0.57 percent respectively.
