Development of Kepulauan Riau Province Air and Sea Transportation September 2019

The number of domestic air transport passengers in September 2019 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province was 171,536 people or decreased by 14.07 percent from August 2019. In September 2019 there was an increase in the number of international air transport passengers departing, totaling 1,700 people or an increase of 23.64 percent from the previous month.

In September 2019, the total load of baggage and domestic air transport goods decreased by 2.83 percent from 3,856.08 tons in August 2019 to 3,747.03 tons in September 2019. Meanwhile, for international air transport, during September 2019 baggage and goods loaded reached 12.65 tons, an increase 23.72 percent compared with the previous month.

During September 2019 there were 283,340 domestic embarkations from ports in the Kepulauan Riau. The number of domestic passenger embarkations decreased by 19.16 percent compared to August 2019 which reached 350,516 people. Meanwhile, the number of embarkation passengers in September 2019 reached 374,902 people, down 2.60 percent compared to August 2019.

The number of international sea freight goods loading in September 2019 increased from the previous month by 4.18 percent, from 1,596,910.11 tons to 1,663,671.66 tons.
