Consumer Tendency Index of Kepulauan Riau Province in the fourth quarter of 2019 was 110.81

The Consumer Islands Index (CTI) of Kepulauan Riau Province in the fourth quarter of 2019 was 110.81. This value shows that the economic condition of consumers in Kepulauan Riau Province experienced an increase in quarter IV-2019 compared to the previous quarter, as well as the level of consumer optimism increased compared to quarter III-2019 with an index of 105.97.

The improvement in consumer economic conditions was mainly driven by rising current income (index value 110.46), and consumption volume (index value 116.67).

Kepulauan Riau Province CTI value in the first quarter of 2020 is estimated at 105.97, meaning that the economic condition of consumers is expected to increase when compared to quarter IV-2019, for the estimated level of consumer optimism is expected to decrease if compared to the previous quarter (CTI of 110.81).

The estimated improvement in consumer economic conditions in the coming quarter IV-2020 is due to an increase in the index of future household income with an index of 121.64, but the index for durable goods purchases actually decreased by 78.52.
