Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting Kepulauan Riau Province in March 2020 reached 54,102 visits, a decrease of 56.53 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the previous month, where the number of foreign tourists in February 2020 was 124,465 visits. Meanwhile, when compared with March 2019, the March 2020 tourist arrivals decreased, namely by 79.21 percent.

Tourists visiting Kepulauan Riau Province from January to March 2020 were dominated by Singaporean tourists with a percentage of 46.20 percent of the total number of foreign tourists in January-March 2020.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in March 2020 reached an average of 25.27 percent, down 10.31 points compared to the February 2020 TPK of 35.58 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in March 2020 was 1.94 days, down 0.14 points compared to the average length of stay of guests in February 2020.
