Development of Kepulauan Riau Province Air and Sea Transportation April 2020

The number of domestic air transport passengers in April 2020 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province was 57,378 people or decreased by 66.58 percent from March 2020. In April 2020 there were no international air transport passengers departing from Kepulauan Riau Province. As for international air transport passengers who arrived during April 2020 only as many as 29 people, down 93.06 percent compared to March 2020.

During April 2020 there were 75,876 domestic embarkations from ports in Kepulauan Riau Province. The number of domestic passenger embarkations decreased by 73.61 percent compared to March 2020 which reached 287,536 people. Meanwhile, the number of international sea transportation passengers (embarkation) in April 2020 reached 1,529 people, down 99.03 percent compared to March 2020.

In April 2020, the amount of loading of baggage and domestic air transport goods decreased by 14.12 percent from 1,721.23 tons in March 2020 to 1,478.24 tons in April 2020. In April 2020, there was no baggage and international air freight which was published in Kepulauan Riau Province. As for international air transport, the number of baggage and goods unloading was 0.30 tons, down 87.20 percent compared to March 2020.

In April 2020, the total load of international sea freight in April 2020 decreased from 17.49 percent the previous month, from 2,040,719.21 tons to 1,683,702.33 tons.
