Gini Ratio of Kepulauan Riau Province in March reached 0.339

Abstract

In March 2020, the inequality level of Kepulauan Riau population expenditure as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.339. This figure is up by 0.002 points compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.337.

The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2020 was 0.337, up 0.002 points compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.335. Meanwhile the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2020 has decreased when compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2019, from 0.262 to 0.260.

During the September 2019-March 2020 period, the distribution of expenditure from the lowest 40 percent population group indicated a decrease, namely from 19.96 percent in September 2019 to 19.26 percent in March 2020.

In urban areas, the distribution of the lowest 40 percent group expenditure in the period September 2019-March 2020 decreased from 19.72 percent in September 2019 to 19.34 percent in March 2020. Same as happened in rural areas, where the distribution of population expenditure 40 the lowest percent was reduced from 23.82 percent to 23.76 percent in the same period.
