Development of Kepulauan Riau Province Air and Sea Transportation July 2020

The number of domestic air transport passengers in July 2020 departing from the Kepulauan Riau Province was 82,928 people or an increase of 119.04 percent from June 2020. There were no international air transport passengers either arriving or departing in the Kepulauan Riau Province during July 2020.

During July 2020, 180,268 people departed (embarked) domestically from ports in the Kepulauan Riau. The number of domestic passengers departing has increased by 72.06 percent compared to June 2020 which reached 104,768 people. Meanwhile, the number of international sea transport passengers departing (embarkation) in July 2020 was only 1,061 people, an increase of 42.23 percent compared to June 2020.

In July 2020, the total load of baggage and domestic air transport goods increased by 119.94 percent from 1,310.52 tons in June 2020 to 2,882.36 tons in July 2020. In July 2020, the amount of baggage and goods loaded for air transport international amounted to 0.05 tons, down 99.69 percent from June 2020.

In July 2020, the amount of cargo for international sea transportation decreased from 1.31 percent in the previous month, from 1,177,315.16 tons to 1,161,945.25 tons.
