Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) to the Kepulauan Riau Province during August 2021 was recorded as 165 visits or an increase of 2.48 percent compared to the previous month. However, when compared to August 2020, there was a decrease of 53.26 percent.

Foreign tourists visiting the Kepulauan Riau Province in January-August 2021 were dominated by Singaporean nationals, reaching 11.66 percent of the total number of foreign tourists from January to August 2021.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in the Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2021 was an average of 20.04 percent, an increase of 0.94 points compared to the TPK in July 2021 which was recorded at 19.10 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at five-star hotels in the Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2021 was recorded at 1.67 days or decreased by 0.34 points compared to July 2021.
