Abstract

The number of foreign tourist visits or foreign tourists to the Kepulauan Riau Province during August 2020 was recorded as many as 1,654 visits. This means that it has decreased 6.29 percent compared to the previous month, where in July 2020 there were 1,765 visits. Meanwhile, when compared to August 2019, there was a decrease of 99.38 percent.

Foreign tourists visiting the Kepulauan Riau Province from January to August 2020 were dominated by Singaporean nationals, reaching 45.28 percent of the number of foreign tourists from January to August 2020.

Room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in the Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2020 was only an average of 19.31 percent or decreased by 0.85 points compared to the ROR for July 2020 which was recorded at 20.16 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2020 was recorded at 1.59 days or decreased by 0.15 points compared to July 2020.
