Abstract

Farmer’s Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
In November 2022, the Riau Islands Province's NTP was recorded at 103.61, or a decrease of 1.58 percent compared to October 2022's NTP.
NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 97.80;the Horticulture sub-sector NTP of 105.78; the NTP of the People's Plantation Plantation sub-sector of 96.54; NTP of the Livestock subsector of 100.83; and the Fisheries sub-sector NTP of 110.15.
The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for the Riau Islands Province in November 2022 was recorded at 101.96 or a decrease of 1.85 percent compared to October 2022.
NTUP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 94.61; NTUP Horticulture subsector of 102.33; NTUP of the People's Plantation Plantation sub-sector of 93.97; NTUP in the Livestock subsector of 102.15; and NTUP in the Fisheries subsector of 110.29.
