Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

In March 2023, Kepulauan Riau Province NTP was recorded at 105.62 or an increase of 1.30 percent compared to the NTP in February 2023.

The NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 98.72; the NTP of the Horticulture subsector at 112.75; the NTP of the Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 95.64; the NTP of the Livestock subsector at 100.78; and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector at 111.81.

The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Kepulauan Riau Province in March 2023 was recorded at 103.80 or an increase of 1.44 percent compared to February 2023.

NTUP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 94.97; NTUP of Horticulture subsector at 109.58; NTUP of Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 92.78; NTUP of Livestock subsector at 101.60; and NTUP of Fisheries subsector at 111.70.
