Abstract

A. Export Development

The export value of Kepulauan Riau Province in December 2023 reached US$1,905.72 million, an increase of 44.19 percent compared to November 2023.
Oil and gas exports in December 2023 amounted to US $ 524.86 million, an increase of 143.52 percent compared to November 2023. Non-oil and gas exports in December 2023 reached US$1,380.86 million, up 24.84 percent compared to November 2023.
The largest HS 2-digit non-oil and gas export during January-December 2023 was the machinery/electrical equipment goods group (HS 85) reaching US$7,513.69 million with a role in non-oil and gas exports of 51.03 percent.

B. Import Development

The import value of Kepulauan Riau Province in December 2023 reached US$1,316.86 million or decreased by 0.26 percent compared to November 2023.
The value of oil and gas imports in December 2023 reached US $ 300.94 million or increased by 25.06 percent compared to November 2023. Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas imports in December 2023 amounted to US$1,015.92 million, down 5.90 percent compared to November 2023.
During January-December 2023, the largest non-oil and gas imports were machinery/electrical equipment (HS 85) with a value of US$6,159.66 million or 42.25 percent of total non-oil and gas imports.
