Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

In January 2024, the Kepulauan Riau Province NTP was recorded at 103.37 or decreased by 0.76 percent compared to the NTP in December 2023.

The NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 96.59; the NTP of the Horticulture subsector at 115.93; the NTP of the Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 94.59; the NTP of the Livestock subsector at 98.07; and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector at 104.53.

The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Kepulauan Riau Province in January 2024 was recorded at 102.63 or decreased by 0.05 percent compared to December 2023.

NTUP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 93.99; NTUP of Horticulture subsector at 114.79; NTUP of Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 92.11; NTUP of Livestock subsector at 100.10; and NTUP of Fisheries subsector at 105.33.
