Abstract

The export value of Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2024 reached US$1,699.85 million, an increase of 3.40 percent compared to July 2024.
Oil and gas exports in August 2024 amounted to US $ 237.68 million, up 14.64 percent compared to July 2024. Non-oil and gas exports in August 2024 reached US$1,462.16 million, up 1.78 percent compared to July 2024.
The largest HS 2-digit non-oil and gas export during January-August 2024 was the electrical machinery/equipment goods group (HS 85) reaching US$4,662.28 million with a role in non-oil and gas exports of 44.84 percent.
During January-August 2024, Singapore became the largest export destination country to reach US$3,895.36 million with a role of 30.86 percent.
The United States became the largest destination country for non-oil and gas exports in January-August 2024, reaching US$2,656.56 million with a role of around 25.55 percent. Singapore was the largest destination country for oil and gas exports in January-August 2024, reaching US$1,690.66 million with a role of 75.92 percent.
The largest export value of Kepulauan Riau Province in January-August 2024 was through Batu Ampar Port US$6,278.13 million; followed by Kabil/Panau Port US$1,926.59 million; Sekupang Port US$1,628.87 million; Tanjung Balai Karimun Port US$946.66 million; and Tarempa Port US$794.98 million. The role of the five ports in January-August 2024 exports reached 91.69 percent.
The largest export volume of Kepulauan Riau Province in January-August 2024 was through Tanjung Balai Karimun Port 5,915.91 thousand tons; followed by Kabil/Panau Port 2,983.36 thousand tons; Tarempa Port 1,291.40 thousand tons; Belakang Padang Port 1,087.66 thousand tons; and Batu Ampar Port 994.29 thousand tons. The role of the five ports in the January-August 2024 export volume reached 89.83 percent.
