Abstract

September 2024 exports reached US$1.51 billion, down 11.05 percent compared to August 2024
Imports in September 2024 amounted to US$1.34 billion, down 5.65 percent compared to August 2024.
The export value of Kepulauan Riau Province in September 2024 reached US$1,511.49 million, down 11.05 percent compared to August 2024.
Oil and gas exports in September 2024 amounted to US $ 258.66 million, up 8.83 percent compared to August 2024. Non-oil and gas exports in September 2024 reached US$1,252.83 million, down 14.28 percent compared to August 2024.
The largest HS 2-digit non-oil and gas export during January-September 2024 was the machinery/electrical equipment goods group (HS 85) reaching US$5,231.05 million with a role in non-oil and gas exports of 44.90 percent.
During January-September 2024, Singapore became the largest export destination country to reach US$4,455.69 million with a role of 31.52 percent.
The United States became the largest destination country for non-oil and gas exports in January-September 2024, reaching US$2,961.76 million with a role of around 25.42 percent. Singapore was the largest destination country for oil and gas exports in January-September 2024, reaching US$1,932.10 million with a role of 77.74 percent.
The largest export value of Kepulauan Riau Province in January-September 2024 was through Batu Ampar Port US$7,070.22 million; followed by Kabil/Panau Port US$2,126.03 million; Sekupang Port US$1,800.04 million; Tanjung Balai Karimun Port US$1,021.66 million; and Tarempa Port US$903.17 million. The role of the five ports in January-September 2024 exports reached 91.41 percent.
The largest export volume of Kepulauan Riau Province January-September 2024 was through Tanjung Balai Karimun Port 6,779.48 thousand tons; followed by Kabil / Panau Port 3,682.62 thousand tons; Tarempa Port 1,468.47 thousand tons; Pelabuhan Belakang Padang 1,220.75 thousand tons; and Batu Ampar Port 1,116.12 thousand tons. The role of the five ports in the January-September 2024 export volume reached 87.25 percent.
