Abstract

In March 2025, Kepulauan Riau Province experienced the year on year (y-on-y) inflation rate was 2.01 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.07. The highest inflation was seen in Batam City at 2.53 percent with a CPI of 108.80, while the lowest was seen in Tanjungpinang City at 0.07 percent with a CPI of 105.05. Meanwhile Karimun Regency inflation rate was 0.15 percent with a CPI of 105.77.
Inflation Kepulauan Riau Province occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in eight expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages, and Tobacco Group of 2.31 percent; Clothing and Footwear Group of 1.19 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 1.61 percent; Health Group of 0.52 percent; Transport Group of 1.71 percent; Recreation, Sport, and Culture Group of 0.73 percent; Food and Beverage Serving Services/Restaurant Group of 3.07 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 10.03 percent. Meanwhile, three expenditure groups experienced a decline in the index, namely: Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 0.25 percent; Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group of 0.10 percent; and Education Group of 1.87 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate Kepulauan Riau Province in March 2025 was 0.38 percent, inflation occurred due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 107.66 in February 2025 to 108.07 in March 2025. Besides the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 0.67 percent.
