The CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province showed deflation of 0.07 perc

In March 2021, the CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed deflation of 0.07 percent. Deflation occurred due to a decrease in the Consumer Price Index from 104,752 in February 2021 to 104,681 in March 2021. Inflation for the calendar year (January to March 2021) was -0.001 percent. Year-on-year inflation (March 2021 against March 2020) is 1.56 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in the Kepulauan Riau Province, it was recorded that Batam City and Tanjungpinang City experienced deflation of 0.02 percent and 0.42 percent, respectively.

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
In March 2021, the Kepulauan Riau Province NTP was recorded at 102.79 or an increase of 0.54 percent compared to the NTP in February 2021.
NTP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 104.94; Horticulture sub-sector NTP of 105.21; NTP of Community Plantation Crops sub-sector amounting to 95.99; NTP of Animal Husbandry sub-sector of 99.23; and NTP of fisheries sub-sector of 107.64.
The number of visits by foreign tourists or foreign tourists to the Kepulauan Riau Province during February 2021 was recorded at 173 visits. This means a decrease of 33.72 percent compared to the previous month, where in January 2021 there were 261 visits. Meanwhile, when compared to February 2020, there was a decrease of 99.86 percent.

The number of domestic air transport passengers in February 2021 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province was 84,149 people, or decreased by 7.07 percent from January 2021. Meanwhile, there were 35 international air passengers departing in February 2021.
During February 2021, 193,894 people departed (embarked) domestically from ports in the Kepulauan Riau. The number of departing domestic passengers has increased by 8.00 percent compared to January 2021, which reached 179,535 people. Meanwhile, the number of international sea transport passengers departing (embarkation) in February 2021 was 1,148 people, a decrease of 12.63 percent compared to January 2021.
