The CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province showed inflation of 0.43 percent

In July 2021, the CPI of the Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed inflation of 0.43 percent. Inflation occurred due to the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 104.88 in June 2021 to 105.33 in July 2021. Inflation calendar year (January–July) 2021 at 0.62 percent Year-on-year inflation (July 2021 to July 2020) is 2.06 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in the Kepulauan Riau Province, Batam City experienced inflation of 0.45 percent, and Tanjungpinang City experienced an inflation of 0.36 percent.
The number of foreign tourist visits or foreign tourists to the Kepulauan Riau Province during June 2021 was recorded at 271 visits. This means an increase of 2.26 percent compared to the previous month, where in May 2021 there were 265 visits. Meanwhile, when compared to June 2020, there was an increase of 179.38 percent.
In July 2021, the NTP of the Kepulauan Riau Province was recorded at 105.75 or an increase of 1.56 percent compared to the NTP in June 2021.
The number of domestic air transport passengers in June 2021 departing from the Kepulauan Riau Province was 124,096 people, an increase of 33.53 percent from May 2021. Meanwhile, there were no international air transport passengers departing in June 2021.
