The CPI of Kepulauan Riau Province showed inflation of 0.31 percent

In September 2021, the CPI of the Kepulauan Riau Province (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed inflation of 0.31 percent. Inflation occurred due to the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 104.89 in August 2021 to 105.31 in September 2021. Inflation for the calendar year (January–September) 2021 was 0.52 percent. Year-on-year inflation (September 2021 against September 2020) was 2.07 percent. Of the 2 CPI cities in the Kepulauan Riau Province, Batam City experienced inflation of 0.33 percent, and Tanjungpinang City experienced 0.19 percent inflation.

In September 2021 Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) of the Kepulauan Riau by 105.05 or up 0.76 percent while the Business Exchange Rate Agriculture (NTUP) of the Kepulauan Riau was 105.91 or an increase of 0.90 percent

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing from the Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2021 was 44,387 people, a 9.05 percent decrease compared to July 2021. Meanwhile, international air transport passengers departing from the Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2021 were 75 people.

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) to the Kepulauan Riau Province during August 2021 was recorded as 165 visits or an increase of 2.48 percent compared to the previous month. However, when compared to August 2020, there was a decrease of 53.26 percent
