The export value of the Kepulauan Riau Province in May 2021 reached US$1,268.25 million, down 8.14 percent compared to April 2021.

Oil and gas exports in May 2021 amounted to US$249.85 million, up 3.85 percent compared to April 2021. Non-oil and gas exports in May 2021 reached US$1,018.40 million, down 10.67 percent compared to April 2021.

The largest 2-digit HS non-oil and gas export during May 2021 was the machine/electrical equipment category (HS 85) reaching US$ 323.08 million with a share of non-oil and gas exports of 33.43 percent.

During May 2021, Singapore became the country's largest non-oil and gas export destination, reaching US$287.76 million with a share of around 29.50 percent. Besides that, it is also the largest oil and gas export destination country which reached US$ 204.25 million with its role of 82.48 percent.

The import value of the Kepulauan Riau Province in May 2021 reached US$1,240.38 million, down 11.25 percent compared to April 2021.

The value of oil and gas imports in May 2021 reached US $ 270.14 million, up 7.38 percent compared to April 2021. The value of non-oil and gas imports in May 2021 reached US $ 970.24 million or decreased 15.34 percent compared to April 2021.

During January-May 2021, the largest non-oil and gas imports were machinery/electrical equipment (HS 85) with a value of US$2,163.59 million or 41.92 percent of the total non-oil and gas imports.

During January-May 2021, China was the largest supplier of imported non-oil and gas goods, which reached US$1,342.24 million with a role of 26.00 percent. Meanwhile, the largest supplier of imported oil and gas goods is Singapore with an import value of US$462.33 million with a role of 40.81 percent.
