Data Verification of ST2023 Processing Results

In a series of activities to Record Indonesian Agriculture, BPS Riau Islands Province held a Coordination Meeting in the context of Verification of ST2023 Processing Results Data for Riau Islands Province on October 11 to 12, 2023. The event was officially opened by the Director of Development Analysis and Statistical Analysis, Muchammad Romzi. On the occasion, Muchammad Romzi also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the hard work, cohesiveness, and commitment of all levels of BPS, as well as the ranks of provincial and Regency / City governments throughout the Riau Islands in overseeing the complete enumeration of the 2023 Agricultural Census.

The event was also attended by stakeholders including the Department of Food Security, Agriculture, and Animal Health; Marine and Fisheries Service; and the Environment and Forestry Service. In addition, the Association of Mainstay Fisherman Farmer Contacts and participants from Raja Ali Haji Maritime University (UMRAH) were also present at the event which took place at the AP Premiere Hotel Ballroom in Batam City.

Examination of ST2023 processing data produces some data called anomalies which are data that need to be reconfirmed. If needed, a data groundcheck will be carried out to double-check the validity of the data. This is a testament to BPS's commitment to providing an accurate agricultural sample frame. Thus, the characteristics of the archipelago of the Riau Islands themselves are expected to be reflected through this agricultural data.
