Abstract

In August 2019, the Kepulauan Riau Province CPI (Batam City) and Kota Tanjungpinang) showed deflation of 0.80 percent. Deflation occurred due to a decrease in Price Index Consumers from 139.75 in July 2019 to 138.63 in August 2019. Inflation in the calendar year (January to August 2019) of 1.56 percent. Year-on-year inflation (August 2019 against August 2018) of 3.23 percent. From 2 cities CPI in Kepulauan Riau Province, recorded in Batam City and City Tanjungpinang experienced deflation of 0.86 each percent and 0.38 percent.
