Abstract

In September 2019, the Kepulauan Riau Province's CPI (Batam City and Tanjungpinang City) showed deflation of 0.49 percent. Deflation occurred due to a decrease in the Consumer Price Index from 138.63 in August 2019 to 137.95 in September 2019. Inflation in the calendar year (January to September 2019) was 1.06 percent. Year-on-year inflation (September 2019 against September 2018) was 2.82 percent. From 2 CPI cities in Kepulauan Riau Province, it is recorded that Batam City and Tanjungpinang City experienced deflation of 0.55 percent and 0.11 percent respectively.
