Development of Kepulauan Riau Province Air and Sea Transportation January 2020

The number of domestic air transport passengers in January 2020 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province was 216,192 people or decreased by 0.33 percent from December 2019. In January 2020 there was an increase in the number of international air transport passengers departing, totaling 3,838 people or an increase of 415.17 percent from the previous month. In January 2020, the amount of loading of baggage and domestic air transport goods decreased by 10.60 percent from 2,545.07 tons in December 2019 to 2,437.81 tons in January 2020. Meanwhile, for international air transportation, during January 2020 baggage and goods loaded reached 11.91 tons, an increase of 173.03 percent when compared with the previous month. During January 2020 there were 325,669 domestic embarkations from ports Kepulauan Riau. The number of domestic passenger embarkations decreased by 20.73 percent compared to December 2019 which reached 410,837 people. Meanwhile, the number of international sea transport passengers that rose (embarkation) in January 2020 reached 452,072 people, down 6.16 percent compared to December 2019. The amount of loading of international sea freight in January 2020 decreased from 23.06 percent in the previous month, from 1,962,313.78 tons to 1,509,784.24 tons
