The
number of domestic air transport passengers in February 2020 departing from Kepulauan
Riau Islands Province was 185,150 people or decreased by 14.40 percent from
January 2020. In February 2020 there was a decrease in the number of
international air transport passengers departing, where the total reached 1,258
people or decreased by 67.22 percent from the previous month.
In
February 2020, the number of loading of baggage and domestic air transport
goods decreased by 49.25 percent from 3,674.67 tons in January 2020 to 1,864.99
tons in February 2020. Meanwhile, for international air transport, during
February 2020 baggage and goods loaded reached 5.73 tons, a decrease of 51.91
percent when compared with the previous month.
During
February 2020 there were 344,539 people embarking domestically from ports in
Kepulauan Riau. The number of domestic passenger embarkations increased by 7.25
percent compared to January 2020 which reached 321,244 people. Meanwhile, the
number of international sea transportation passengers (embarkation) in February
2020 reached 265,085 people, down 40.78 percent compared to January 2020.
In
February 2020, the amount of loading of baggage and domestic sea freight goods
fell by 46.43 percent from 467,748.92 tons in January 2020 to 250,568.89 tons
in February 2020. Meanwhile, the total load of international sea freight in
February 2020 experienced an increase from the previous month of 18.32 percent,
from 1,461,285.34 tons to 1,729,042.55 tons.
