Development of Kepulauan Riau Province Air and Sea Transportation August 2020

The number of domestic air passengers in August 2020 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province was 91,172 people or an increase of 9.94 percent from July 2020. Meanwhile, the number of international air transport passengers in August 2020 departing from Kepulauan Riau Province was 8 people.

During August 2020 there were 155,879 people who departed (embarked) domestically from ports in Kepulauan Riau. The number of domestic passengers departing has decreased by 0.95 percent compared to July 2020 which reached 157,377 people. Meanwhile, the number of international sea transport passengers departing (embarkation) in August 2020 was only 1,079 people, an increase of 1.70 percent compared to July 2020.

In August 2020, the amount of baggage and domestic air transport goods has decreased by 35.43 percent from 2,882.36 tons in July 2020 to 1,861.19 tons in August 2020. In August 2020, the amount of baggage and goods loaded for air transport international amounted to 0.01 tons, down 70.83 percent from July 2020.

In August 2020, the amount of cargo for international sea transportation increased from the previous month of 10.25 percent, from 1,161,360.48 tons to 1,280,415.30 tons.
