Abstract

The farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
In December 2022, the Riau Islands Province NTP was recorded at 103.53, or decreased by 0.07 percent compared to the NTP in November 2022.
The NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 99.20; the NTP of the Horticulture subsector was 107.68; the NTP of the People's Plantation Crops subsector was 93.90; the NTP of the Livestock subsector was 101.43; and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector was 110.33.
The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Riau Islands Province in December 2022 was recorded at 101.81 or decreased by 0.14 percent compared to November 2022.
NTUP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 95.77; the NTUP of the Horticulture subsector was 104.35; NTUP of Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector was 91.13; NTUP of Livestock subsector was 102.72; and NTUP of Fisheries subsector was 110.43.
