Economic growth of Kepulauan Riau Province in the Fourth quarter of 2022

Abstract

The Kepulauan Riau Province economy in 2022 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp308.84 trillion and at constant prices (ADHK) reached Rp190.16 trillion. The GRDP per capita of the Kepulauan Riau Province in 2022 reached 141.68 million.

The Kepulauan Riau Province economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 (y-on-y) grew by 6.40 percent. In terms of business fields, growth in this quarter was driven by the Construction category which had a growth share of 3.19 percent. From the expenditure side, the PMTB component had a growth share of 2.86 per, cent and the PK-RT component with a share of 2.45 percent.

The Kepulauan Riau Province economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the third quarter of 2022 (q-to-q) grew by 7.24 percent. In terms of production, economic growth was mainly due to the Processing Industry category with the largest growth share of 3.48 percent, followed by the Construction category with a growing share of 2.74 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the PK-P component contributed the largest growth of 2.95 percent, followed by the Net Export component with a share of 1.62 percent.

The Kepulauan Riau Province economy in 2022 grew by 5.09 percent, growing faster than in 2021 by 3.43 percent.

In the regional scope, the Riau Islands GRDP in the fourth quarter of 2022 contributed 7.54 percent to the GRDP of Sumatra Island.
