Abstract

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

In April 2023, the Riau Islands Province NTP was recorded at 105.01 or decreased by 0.57 percent compared to the NTP in March 2023.

The NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 98.84; the NTP of the Horticulture subsector was 107.29; the NTP of the People's Plantation Crops subsector was 99.38; the NTP of the Livestock subsector was 101.08; and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector was 110.63.

The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Riau Islands Province in April 2023 was recorded at 102.51 or decreased by 1.24 percent compared to March 2023.

NTUP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 94.95; The NTUP of Horticulture subsector at 104.24; The NTUP of Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 94.75; The NTUP of Livestock subsector at 101.21; and The NTUP of Fisheries subsector at 110.19.
