Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

In May 2023, Kepulauan Riau Province's NTP was recorded at 104.51 or decreased by 0.48 percent compared to April 2023's NTP.

NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 98.80; Horticulture sub-sector NTP of 104.05; NTP of the People's Plantation Plantation sub-sector of 100.96; NTP of the Livestock subsector of 100.82; and the Fisheries subsector NTP of 110.21.

The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for Kepulauan Riau Province in May 2023 was recorded at 102.00 or decreased by 0.50 percent compared to April 2023.
