Abstract

The number of foreign tourists to Kepulauan Riau Province during May 2023 was recorded at 99,359 visits or decreased by 16.38 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, when compared to May 2022, there was an increase of 316.74 percent.

Foreign tourists visiting Kepulauan Riau Province in January-May 2023 were dominated by Singaporean tourists, reaching 54.38 percent of the total number of foreign tourists from January-May 2023.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-rated hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in May 2023 averaged 41.87 percent, an increase of 5.09 points compared to the April 2023 TPK which was recorded at 36.78 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in Kepulauan Riau Province in May 2023 was recorded at 1.73 days, down 0.17 points compared to April 2023.
