Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

In August 2023, the Kepulauan Riau Province NTP was recorded at 104.73 or decreased by 0.05 percent compared to the NTP in July 2023.

The NTP of the Food Crops subsector was recorded at 98.26; the NTP of the Horticulture subsector was 102.66; the NTP of the People's Plantation Crops subsector was 103.83; the NTP of the Livestock subsector was 101.43; and the NTP of the Fisheries subsector was 109.33.

The Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Kepulauan Riau Province in August 2023 was recorded at 102.46 or an increase of 0.12 percent compared to July 2023.

NTUP of Food Crops subsector was recorded at 94.56; NTUP of Horticulture subsector at 99.84; NTUP of Smallholder Plantation Crops subsector at 99.57; NTUP of Livestock subsector at 101.70; and NTUP of Fisheries subsector at 108.90.
